OFFICE PROCEDURES

Submitting information to us:

1.      Email all information to officefaganely@gmail.com. If you need help in emailing pictures of slips from your phone, check out the following link HERE

2.      Mail or courier all information to Tom Faganely, 28 Sweetberry Dr. Sudbury, On P3E 6E5

3.      You can drop off at our office even when we are closed. Use our secure mail slot in the office door 24/7

4.      Appointments can be made for special situations or questions that cannot be resolved over email or phone

What we need from you:

  • All forms are found under downloads

  • Each year each taxpayer must sign a new T183 (auth. to e-file) Print name in part A and sign at the X in part F

  • Complete a “client information sheet” (only 1 is required per household)

  • If you are pension splitting one T1032 (joint election to split pension income) must be signed by both of you on the bottom of the last page

  • If you are claiming medical you must fill in our Medical Expenses Paid form. Once it has been completed we don’t need copies of your receipts, but keep them in case CRA asks to see them. Instructions are on the form.

  • Other forms for business, rental income & expense, employment expenses, authorize a representative, medical & travel exp. chart for 2025, T2200, TL2, T2201(disability tax credit form) are also available in downloads

Reminders

  • Multi Generation Tax Credit - Renovations done to your home to add a unit for a related senior or disabled person. (up to $50,000)

  • First Home Savings Acct.(FHSA) – up to $8,000 per year

  • Disability Tax Credit/Infirm Caregiver - Check eligibility for the Disability Tax Credit, or an infirm caregiver amount if you support a spouse or parent with a prolonged illness or disability. Keep in mind, minor infirmities (such as ADHD and learning disabilities) may qualify.

  • Home Office Expenses – You must have a T2200 filled in by employer

    Please note the following for 2025 tax return filing

  • Please wait until you have all your information (mid March - April) for filing before sending it to or dropping it off at our office.  Last year our office had to complete many ReFiles due to missing or late slips.

  • Only very basic returns will be completed by our office before March 15th

  • Canada Revenue Agency does not accept any e-file returns until after February 23, 2026 as they are updating their system for the 2025 returns

  • If you have RSP contributions in the 1st 60 days of 2026 you must wait for those slips before we can do your 2025 taxes. They are sometimes not received until April. These must be submitted on your 2025 return.

  • The RRSP contribution deadline is March 2nd, 2026

  • If you have T3 slips from investment income, you must wait until April.

  • Please check our client information sheet for deductions and tax credits that are available to you

  • Payments we accept are e-transfer, cash, or cheque. (Sorry NO debit or credit cards)

  • Please keep in mind that we don’t have a waiting room in our office, so to avoid congestion and for privacy reasons please wait outside (weather permitting) or in your vehicle.
